Scattered across the turquoise waters of eastern Indonesia, Raja Ampat is an extraordinary archipelago of more than 1,500 islands, cays and limestone islets. Located off the coast of West Papua, its remote setting has helped preserve a landscape of remarkable beauty, where jungle-covered karst formations rise dramatically from crystal-clear lagoons.
Raja Ampat is best known for its spectacular marine life. Sitting within the Coral Triangle, its warm waters contain some of the richest marine biodiversity on the planet, making it a dream destination for diving and snorkelling. Coral gardens teem with manta rays, reef sharks, sea turtles and vast schools of brilliantly coloured fish.
Above water, travellers can kayak through hidden lagoons, visit small Papuan villages, explore mangrove forests or climb to panoramic viewpoints overlooking the archipelago’s maze of emerald islands. Accommodation ranges from simple locally run homestays to secluded eco-resorts and luxury dive retreats.

Argentine artist Leandro Erlich is internationally renowned for immersive installations that blur the boundaries between reality, illusion and architecture. Born in Buenos Aires in 1973, Erlich transforms familiar spaces-buildings, staircases, elevators, swimming pools and domestic interiors – into playful visual puzzles that challenge our perception of what is real.
His current exhibition at Paris’s Grand Palais, running from 2 June to 6 September 2026, is the first major retrospective of his work in France. Bringing together 14 monumental installations, the exhibition turns the visitor from observer into active participant. Mirrors, trompe-l’œil, altered perspectives and unexpected shifts in scale create seemingly impossible situations: boats appear to levitate, clouds become weightless, staircases stretch into infinity and architecture defies gravity.

In the heart of Modena, Italy, Osteria Francescana is one of the world’s most celebrated restaurants, shaped by the imagination of chef Massimo Bottura. Opened in 1995, the intimate restaurant combines the culinary traditions of Emilia-Romagna with contemporary art, storytelling and Bottura’s playful approach to Italian culture.
Rather than simply reproducing classic recipes, Bottura reinterprets them – sometimes provocatively – while retaining a deep respect for their origins. Dishes such as Five Ages of Parmigiano Reggiano explore a single regional ingredient through different temperatures and textures, while the famously accidental Oops! I Dropped the Lemon Tart captures the humour and spontaneity that have become hallmarks of his cooking.
Osteria Francescana earned three Michelin stars and twice topped The World’s 50 Best Restaurants, establishing Bottura as one of the defining chefs of his generation. Yet the experience remains distinctly rooted in Modena: its produce, memories, family traditions and extraordinary gastronomic heritage, transformed into an inventive and highly personal expression of modern Italian cuisine.
